JoAnn Hudson
JoAnn is a resident of Rockford, Illinois
Her professional background and education is as an Interior Designer. She has since retired from that field for the world of art.
She always had a love for the art world and worked with many accomplished artists over her years in the design field. She started Unforgettable Art, a fund raiser for the Alzheimer’s Association. Her goal for bringing this together was for people to visually see and enjoy the artist’s process and what it takes for an artist to accomplish a finished painting. It brought art alive to the viewer. The event was held annually for 20 years. (then COVID hit)
She always had a desire to involve herself into the world of art and to spend her retirement time pursuing and enjoying painting. She has since studied many types of media with various instructors and classes.
This has included acrylics, watercolor, oil, alcohol ink, pastels, colored pencils, sketching, and Chinese Brush Painting.
She has settled into working with acrylics and watercolors.
She has always loved painting nature and landscapes and pictures that convey a message that brings back a special memory in time, such as a still life or a scene from a trip.
She has shown her art at Katie’s Cup, Fall Art Scene, Freeport Art Museum, Womanspace, Janesville Art League and various private events and fund raisers.
JoAnn is currently a member of The Rockford Art Guild and The Janesville Art League.
