Chuck Gregory Profile

Chuck Gregory is a Rockford area resident who has been drawing and painting since 1969. He has worked in a variety of mediums, styles and subject matter. He is a graduate of Rockford College in 1973 with a B.A. in Fine Art, studying painting with Robert McCauley, Sculpture with Hon Ching Lee and Art History with Phillip Dedrick,

He was married in 1978 and moved to San Diego, California to pursue a career in Graphic Design. While in San Diego, he earned a certificate in Platt College’s Graphic Design program. He began working at Hart Publishing in San Diego. In 1986 his daughter was born and they moved back to Rockford to be closer to family.

In 1987 he began working for Hughes Communications, a Rockford Publishing Company working in the darkroom and eventually graphic Design and Illustration.

Since returning to Rockford , Chuck has been a member of the Rockford Art Guild and has shown his art at numerous local fairs and shows including Art Scene and Unforgettable Art which benefits the Alzheimer’s Association.

His art has been inspired by the beauty found in nature as well as that which comes from within his own imagination, He strives to paint with passion, the beauty God has given us to enjoy.
